Bichos da Mata

Since its foundation, the Bichos da Mata Association – BMATA – has been actively protecting species from the Brazilian fauna.

In order to achieve this, BMATA has its work focused in:

Receiving and rehabilitating birds from the Brazilian fauna in the facility located in the Southern coastline of Sao Paulo state.
Forming strategic partnerships for the creation of protected areas for bird releases.
Developing projects and husbandry techniques that make it possible that an ever increasing number of birds return to its natural habitat.
Supporting environmental awareness and cultural projects.
Spreading knowledge for the conservation of species.
